With the first summer events leading up to the opening home game of the 2026/27 National League season, scheduled for Tuesday, 15 September against Geneva, just a few days away, Hockey Club Lugano would like to share some important information with its fans.
For last season’s season-ticket holders, Friday, 31 July will be the final day to renew their season ticket at the unchanged price. As a gesture of thanks to everyone who continued to stand by the Club even during the most difficult moments, season-ticket prices for the upcoming championship have remained unchanged until 31 July. After this date, prices for both renewals and new season-ticket purchases will increase by approximately 5%, with the exception of Sector C, the Curva Nord and the Nuove Generazioni season ticket.
On Saturday, 1 August, a large HCL delegation comprising Club executives, players and members of the first-team staff, as well as representatives of the U14, U16, U18 and U21 teams, will take part in the traditional city parade. The procession will depart from Via Nassa at 8.45 pm, follow the lakeside promenade and conclude in Piazza della Riforma, where the commemorative address by the authorities will take place. On both Friday, 31 July and Saturday, 1 August, the DNA Bianconero & Events HCL Grottino will be open in Piazza Battaglini from 5.30 pm. On Swiss National Day, fans will also have the opportunity to meet HCL executives and players. The HCL on the road VAN will also be present, offering official black-and-white merchandise.
On Wednesday, 5 August, HCL will host its Media Day via live stream from 1.30 pm, providing an opportunity for the media to meet Club representatives and discuss exclusively sporting matters. As a welcome new feature this season, members of 5A Linea, Hockey Club Lugano’s official membership programme integrated into the App, will have the exclusive opportunity to submit questions to General Manager Janick Steinmann, Head Coach Tomas Mitell and players Calvin Thürkauf, David Aebischer, Luca Fazzini and Olle Lycksell. A selection of these questions will be chosen and put directly to them during the live stream. Further details will be communicated via the App in the coming days.
Finally, on Thursday, 6 August, HCL fans will have the opportunity to see and meet up close the new players who will be part of the team for the 2026/27 season. Starting at 6.00 pm, Thürkauf and his teammates will complete an initial on-ice training session before playing a scrimmage. Two refreshment stands will be open in the East Stand, one on each level, together with the Club ’41 restaurant and the grill stands located outside the East Entrance. At the end of the training session, fans will be free to step onto the ice to take selfies and collect autographs from their favourite players. Shop’41 will also be open for the occasion.
