Luca Fazzini made his first-team debut on September 29th, 2012 in Bern. Since then, he has played fourteen consecutive seasons in the white-and-black jersey, the only one he has ever worn in the National League, for a total of 731 games, placing him fourth all-time for the HC Lugano, behind Julien Vauclair (939), Raffaele Sannitz (889), and Sandro Bertaggia (789).
Coming off the second most productive Regular Season of his career with 47 points, in which he was the Top Swiss scorer and the third overall in the National League, Luca Fazzini has early extended his contract with HC Lugano until the end of the 2031/32 season.
“Fazz”’s numbers in white-and-black are at once a historic legacy, energy lighting up the present, and a promise for the future: 731 games, 200 goals, 217 assists, 417 points, 0.57 points per game, 86 playoff games, 72 derbies against Ambrì. Having joined the youth section as a Moskitos player, Luca is fully identified with the DNA of HC Lugano and the values of his beloved club. Over time, he has evolved from a pure sniper into a complete forward, retaining his goal-scoring instinct while adding playmaking skills and a relentless work ethic across the entire rink.
These are the words of HC Lugano’s General Manager, Janick Steinmann:
“Fazza has become a true leader. His work ethic and scoring touch are exceptional. I am truly happy that Lugano has a homegrown player with his qualities and that he is so motivated to do whatever it takes to succeed with our team.”
