To cover for the injury of Joren Van Pottelberghe, Hockey Club Lugano has signed Slovak goaltender Adam Huska on a contract valid until the end of the 2024/25 season. Born on May 12, 1997, in Zvolen (192 cm x 80 kg), Huska developed in his hometown’s youth system and was drafted by the New York Rangers in 2015.

After three seasons with the University of Connecticut in the NCAA, Huska gained experience with 1 NHL appearance and 79 AHL games for the Hartford Wolf Pack between 2018 and 2022. From 2022 to 2024, he played 74 games in the KHL for Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod, under the legendary coach Igor Larionov. He has also represented Slovakia at the 2021 World Championships in Riga, as well as at U18 and U20 World Championships.

Adam Huska will arrive in Ticino on Wednesday for his medical examination before joining the team.
