Hockey Club Lugano has appointed Uwe Krupp as the new head coach of the first team.

He led the German National Team for five World Championships and two Olympic Games and later coached teams such as Kölner Haie, Eisbären Berlin, and Sparta Prague, reaching the DEL playoff finals three times. Most recently, he returned to coach in Cologne until 2024.
The club and the new head coach will finalize the assistant coaching staff in the coming days.
