Hockey Club Lugano announces that, during the ceremonial puck drop of today’s matchup between Lugano and Bern — the annual Academy Match dedicated to supporting the club’s Youth Sector — Attorney Massimo Pedrazzini, President of the HC Lugano Academy Foundation, presented an CHF 100,000 cheque to the Head of the Junior Department, Alessandro Chiesa.
The HC Lugano Academy Foundation is particularly proud of this concrete and significant gesture, the result of extensive work.
This achievement was made possible especially thanks to the participation of leading figures from the financial and economic sectors in the annual Skateathon, held in early November at the Cornèr Arena. On this special occasion, each lap completed by a skater supporting HCL helped generate numerous generous donations.
The generosity shown during the Skateathon once again demonstrates that in Lugano, the true strength of hockey lies not only in sporting results, but in the shared commitment to building the future together.
