Mirco Müller is a Swiss defenseman with solid international experience, having developed through the youth systems of Winterthur and Kloten. Selected in the first round of the 2013 NHL Draft by the San Jose Sharks as the 18th overall pick, he made his North American league debut in the 2014/15 season, alternating between the NHL and AHL with the Worcester Sharks and later the San Jose Barracuda.
After several seasons with the Sharks and the New Jersey Devils, Müller returned to Europe in 2021, signing with Leksands IF in the SHL before making his way back to Switzerland to play for Lugano. With his physicality and tactical intelligence, he became a key player, finishing his first season with the Bianconeri with an impressive +19 in the +/- ranking.
Müller has also been a pillar of the Swiss national team, participating in multiple World Championships (2018, 2021) and the 2022 Beijing Olympics. His international experience and ability to excel in crucial moments make him one of the best Swiss defensemen of his generation.
