Jiří Sekáč is a Czech forward born in Kladno in 1992. After early experiences in the KHL with Lev Poprad, Lev Praha, and Sparta Praha, he made the jump to the NHL between 2014 and 2016, playing for Montréal, Anaheim, Chicago, and Arizona.
From 2016 to 2021, he was a key figure in the KHL, winning two Gagarin Cups with Ak Bars Kazan (2018) and Avangard Omsk (2021). He then spent three seasons with Lausanne HC in Switzerland’s National League before joining Lugano in the summer of 2024.
A skilled and creative forward, Sekáč combines offensive talent with international experience, bringing quality and leadership to Lugano’s attack.
