Figures and appointments at HCL general meetings

Palazzo Mantegazza hosted this evening the annual general meeting of the shareholders of Hockey Club Lugano SA (HCL SA) and the members’ meeting of the Hockey Club Lugano association (HCL).

For the 2025/26 financial year, HCL SA recorded operating revenues of CHF 22,268,027 and operating costs of CHF 21,966,530.

EBITDA, a financial indicator measuring a company’s operating profitability, therefore amounted to CHF 301,497. After depreciation, financial expenses, extraordinary expenses and taxes, the 2025/26 income statement closed with a loss of CHF 193,350.

With the 2025/26 financial year, the group’s significant financial restructuring, implemented over several seasons and involving, among other measures, an authorized capital increase and two reductions in share capital, has now been definitively completed. Despite the limited loss of CHF 193,350 recorded for the 2025/26 financial year, HCL SA now has equity of CHF 4,686,849, corresponding to 96.04% of its total share capital of CHF 4,880,200.

Following the President’s report and those delivered by CEO Marco Werder and GM Janick Steinmann, the members of the HCL SA Board of Directors – Vicky Mantegazza (President), Fabio Regazzi (Vice-President), Andy Näser, Sascha Schlub, Stephan Lichtsteiner and Massimo Pedrazzini – were re-elected for a further term of office.

The members of the Hockey Club Lugano association (HCL), the legal entity responsible for managing the youth section, meanwhile elected Gabriele Zanzi as their new President.

A member of the Board of Directors from 2013 to 2025 and former Vice-President of the HCL SA Board of Directors, Gabriele Zanzi is a figure with close ties to the banking and business community.

He succeeds Felice Pellegrini, who had held the position since 2012. Pellegrini will remain a member of the HCL association’s Executive Committee, alongside re-elected members Andrea Gehri (Vice-President), Mario Mantegazza and Emilio Martinenghi.
