Calle Dahlström will wear the Hockey Club Lugano jersey for two more seasons.
The HCL and the 31-year-old Swedish defenceman have signed a two-year contract valid for the 2026/27 and 2027/28 seasons.
Dahlström joined Lugano in the summer of 2024 from Färjestad BK after spending four years in North America (67 NHL games, 261 AHL games). The Stockholm native has established himself over time as a solid and reliable defenceman.
His qualities are also reflected in the plus/minus statistics. Already last season, despite being a very difficult one for the team, Dahlström was by far the best Lugano player in this category during the Regular Season with a +13 rating. In his second season at the Cornèr Arena, under the guidance of a new coaching staff, he has further improved this number and currently holds a +15 rating.
With his great size, good understanding of the game and discipline both on and off the ice, Dahlström has earned the trust of the coaching staff and his teammates as well as the respect of the fans.
