Alessandro Domenichelli joins the Portland Winterhawks in the WHL

Hockey Club Lugano is proud to announce that forward Alessandro Domenichelli, born in Ticino on May 11, 2009, has signed with the Portland Winterhawks, a historic club in the Western Hockey League (WHL), one of the three major junior leagues in the Canadian Hockey League (CHL).

The Oregon-based franchise, known for developing NHL first-round picks such as Nino Niederreiter (2010) and Sven Bärtschi (2011), selected Alessandro in the second round of the 2024 WHL Draft.
