Figures and appointments from the HCL Assemblies

Palazzo Mantegazza hosted this evening the annual meetings of the shareholders of Hockey Club Lugano SA and the members of the Hockey Club Lugano Association (HCL).

The 2024/25 financial statement of Hockey Club Lugano SA reported operating revenues of CHF 21,845,130 and operating costs of CHF 21,971,361. Considering financial charges, extraordinary events and taxes, the year closed with a loss of CHF 333,653. As a measure to restore the balance sheet, the assembly approved a share capital reduction of CHF 751,600 through the cancellation of 3,758 treasury shares, thereby partially eliminating the negative equity.

Board members Vicky Mantegazza (President), Andy Näser (Vice-President), Fabio Regazzi, Sascha Schlub and Stephan Lichtsteiner were confirmed for a new term. Thanks were expressed to Gabriele Zanzi and Claudio Broggini, who stepped down after twelve and ten years respectively, making way for new energy. The shareholders’ meeting welcomed Massimo Pedrazzini (born 1963), lawyer, head of a law firm, Chairman of the Board of Fidinam Group and Sterling Active Fund, as a new member of the Board. Within HCL, Pedrazzini already chairs the HC Lugano Academy Foundation, which supports the youth sector.

As for the Hockey Club Lugano Association – the legal entity managing the Youth Section – the 2024/25 financial statement showed operating revenues of CHF 2,556,735 and operating costs of CHF 2,433,122.

The Management Board was reinforced with the confirmed Felice Pellegrini (President), Andrea Gehri (Vice-President) and Mario Mantegazza, joined by Gabriele Zanzi, thus remaining close to management, and Emilio Martinenghi, representing the HC Lugano Academy Foundation, who replaced outgoing Massimo Pedrazzini. Martinenghi (born 1958) is a multifaceted figure in Ticino, a rare combination of entrepreneurship, political engagement and artistic sensibility. He is a founding partner of the WMM Group and currently chairs its Board of Directors
