Alessio Bertaggia is a Ticino-born forward from Lugano (1993) who came through our youth system. After gaining experience in North America with the Brandon Wheat Kings and Spokane Chiefs (WHL), he made his National League debut wearing our jersey, which he defended until 2017.
He then spent five seasons with Ambrì-Piotta and two with Genève-Servette, where he achieved a remarkable double by winning both the Champions Hockey League and the National League in the same year, before returning home in the summer of 2025 on a three-year deal.
With his speed, contagious energy, and scoring instinct, Bertaggia brings intensity and passion to our offense, perfectly embodying the spirit of HC Lugano.
