HCL forward Cyrill Henry (born 2007), who has appeared eleven times with Lugano’s first team this season (3 assists), has been selected for the roster that will begin preparations on 10 December 2025 for the U20 World Championship, scheduled from 26 December 2025 to 5 January 2026 in St. Paul, Minnesota (USA).
After an initial training camp in Kloten, the Swiss U20 squad coached by Jan Cadieux will move to Rochester (USA), where they will play three friendly games ahead of the World Championship. The final 25-player roster will be announced on Christmas Eve.
Four other players from HCL’s Youth Sector have also received call-ups to various Swiss national teams.
Defenceman Niccolò Castiglioni (born 2008) will take part with the U18 team in the Five Nations Tournament in Zuchwil from 26 to 30 December. Goaltender Yannis Zambelli (also born 2008) is on standby for the same selection.
Defenceman Fabio Bissig and forward Moreno Ziegler (both born 2009) have been named as reserves for the U17 National Team, which will be in Vierumäki from 9 to 15 December for the Six Nations Tournament.
