HC Fribourg-Gottéron - HC Lugano: comment on the game

The 4-3 shootout win of the HC Lugano against HC Fribourg Gottéron should be classified as a significant victory.
Significant because due to the injuries of Vauclair, Brunner, Steinmann, Morini and Romanenghi and the suspension of Hirschi and Hofmann, the coaching staff was able to lineup only six defensemen and eleven forwards including Kostner, a long time extra player and Dal Pian, recalled from Olten (NLB).
Especially significant because everyone played their part.
The six defensemen played a solid game, minimizing individual mistakes, and even scoring a goal with Kparghai.
The first forward line from Sweden with an irrepressible Klasen, a smart Martensson and a tireless Pettersson. The workers’ line with Reuille-Sannitz-Walker, specialized in boxplay, with their usual generosity and attention. The “small” line with Bertaggia Stapleton-Fazzini with impressive fast skating all over the ice. The reborn Kostner and Dal Pian playing important shifts with the right attitude to let the team catch its breath. And "last but not least," a perfect goalie for 60 minutes, Elvis Merzlikins. Simply outstanding during the shootouts, all stopped tonight.
The points could have been even three. The penalty called on Walker which originated the 3-3 for HC Fribourg-Gottéron by Reway at 55:38 has raised many doubts.
But the reaction just after the 3-3 and the confidence with which the Bianconeri won the shootout are a further boost of confidence on the eve of another game by six points. The one against SC Bern.
