The 49th game of the regular season hit hard the Hockey Club Lugano's roster.
During last evening's game in Davos three black and white players have suffered severe injuries, that will rule them out for several months.
The morning's exams have confirmed that, with the playoff starting in a few days, Lugano will lose for the rest of the season the captain Alessandro Chiesa, one of the assistant-captain Dario Bürgler and the forward Damien Brunner.
Chiesa will undergo surgery today for a broken Achilles tendon, cut by the blade of a Davos player's skate after few minutes into the game.
Bürgler has a severe trauma at the right shoulder with the complete breaking of the pectoral muscle. In the next days he will do further exams to define the date of the surgery.
As for Brunner, a more precise diagnose will be revealed after tomorrow's exams.
The Club wants to wish all the best to the unfortunate players and it's sure that all the staff, teammates and Lugano's family will play the playoff for them.
