The Hockey Club Lugano announces to have used the option expiring in these days to prolongue the contract with the player Jani Lajunen for another season.
The 27 years old finnish center, that recently played in the Olympic Games in PyeongChang with the finnish national team, will wear Lugano's jersey at least until the end of the 2018/2019 season.
Arrived at the Resega during the summer after having won the Championship three seasons in a row with Växjö Lakers in Sweden and Tappara Tampere in Finland, Lajunen proved himself as a precious element for his effort in the defensive and offensive part of the game.
At the same time, the Club informed the player Bobby Sanguinetti that the team doesn't want to use the same option to prolongue his contract for another season.
This choice leaves the doors open to any possible solution for the HCL and for the 29 years old american defenseman, that played in the Olympics with the USA national team.
