After Dario Bürgler's contract renewal announced last week, the Hockey Club Lugano has the pleasure to announce to the fans another good news.
The Club has used the option to prolong Maxim Lapierre's contract for another year.
The 32 years old canadian center will wear Lugano's jersey until the end of the 2018/2019 season.
After his return in Ticino during last fall, Lapierre showed in the last Championship tecnical, tactical, physical and characterial qualities that are very precious for the team, conferming these charachteristics this season.
Lapierre's work isn't only on the ice but, thanks to his positive personality and great sense of responsibility, qualifies him as one of the locker room leaders. This characteristic was at the base of the staff's choice to insert Maxim in the captaincy with Alessandro Chiesa, Julien Vauclair and Dario Bürgler.
In Lugano Lapierre played until now 68 games, with 15 goals and 23 assists (Foto F. Eicher).
