Lugano reacted well after the defeat in the derby. Ireland's men won at the Bossard Arena 4-2, deserving to take the game. Chiesa and teammates had more discipline in defense, they sacrificed more and were more aggressive on the ice and in front of the opposite goalie. This is showed by Bürgler's opening goal and the 2-1 by Hofmann.
The decisive episode was probably the 3-2 scored by Lajunen at the beginning of the third period. A goal allowed by the referees after the video review, because it was scored with the skate but without the kick. Lugano managed well Zug's reaction and scored again with Bürgler.
Lugano closes the frist weekend with three points and awaits Kloten at the Resega on Tuesday.
